City of love

Fly to Paris for Valentine's Day with Lufthansa Private Jet

Take an early evening boat ride on the Seine – is there a more romantic way to celebrate the day of love? Now imagine cruising down the river in a private yacht, and Valentine's Day will soon become an unforgettable experience.

But Paris is not only the city of love, it's also the city of gourmet cuisine. Enjoy the subtleties of fine French food 125 meters above the city: Le Jules Verne restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower boasts a Michelin star and a spectacular view of Paris. The chef is the legendary Alain Ducasse, who is well known for his innovative cuisine.

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to Montmartre and the art market there, but the city also has lots of contemporary art to admire. The second day of the trip features a private tour of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a private museum dubbed the “cloud of glass.” Designed by star architect Frank Gehry and constructed over a period of 14 years, this impressive museum contains works by Jeff Koons and graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, among others.

There are a number of exclusive hotels in Paris, but the Plaza Athénée, which opened on Avenue Montaigne, close to the Eiffel Tower, in 1913, occupies a special place in the city’s annals. It was here that U.S. soldiers dined after liberating the city in 1944, here that Christian Dior and Rudolph Valentine preferred to stay, and here that the infamous dancer and spy Mata Hari was arrested. In August 2014, this hotel steeped in history was reopened following extensive renovation – and has been delighting visitors with an elegant symbiosis of the very latest in luxury and traditional opulence ever since.

Day 1: On the morning of Valentine's Day we will fly you with Lufthansa Private Jet (small size) to Paris from Cologne. Red roses and champagne will be waiting for you in your deluxe junior suite at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée.

After a cocktail and a light lunch at “Le Relais Plaza” you will pay a visit to Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur. If you wish, we will arrange an appointment at the world-famous DIOR Institute.

The day will end with a boat trip on the Seine and a candle-light dinner at the Jules Verne – the famous restaurant in the Eiffel Tower whose interior was designed by Patrick Jouin.

Day 2: After breakfast you will visit the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a spectacular private museum of contemporary art that just opened in 2014.

As an option, this can be followed by a short trip to Pommery in the Champagne wine region. Afterwards, you will return to Cologne in a Lufthansa Private Jet (small size).
