Thanks to its long-standing cooperation with NetJets, the worldwide leader in private aviation, Lufthansa is able to offer passengers a fleet of the most modern private aircraft to suit every requirement: neutral-liveried business jets in the small-size, mid-size and large-size categories for travel within Europe and North America, and long-range category for more extended flights.
With more than 800 aircraft, 130 in Europe alone, NetJets is the world’s largest provider in the business-aviation industry. NetJets only recruits experienced pilots from civil and military aviation. Applicants must produce evidence of at least 1,500 hours of flight experience – 3,000 hours in the case of captains. Each pilot trains on and always flies the same type of aircraft, and takes part in a range of training programmes which are among the most comprehensive in the airline industry.
NetJets Europe holds the world’s highest safety certification, the International Air Transport Association's Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) – the ‘gold standard’ in private aviation. In addition, all flights are run in accordance with the stringent EU-OPS safety standards that apply to every airline operating in Europe.
